In the vibrant city of Amsterdam, our client’s organisation stands at the edge of an exciting new chapter—one of growth, transformation, and opportunity. To guide this story, we seek a temporary Human Resources (HR) Director who will serve as the trusted guardian of people, culture, and compliance.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will shape the kingdom’s people strategy, craft fair and transparent policies, and ensure that every character in the story—employees, managers, and leaders—can thrive in a high-performing, engaging, and compliant workplace.
Strategic Planning: Translate the organisation’s long-term goals into clear HR initiatives, staffing models, and retention programmes that help the company grow wisely and sustainably.
Compliance & Risk Management: Guard the realm by ensuring full adherence to labour laws and regulations. Maintain policies, handbooks, and procedures that protect both employees and the organisation from unnecessary risk.
Employee Relations: Act as a fair and steady advisor in times of conflict. Oversee complex disputes, performance management, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations, always seeking just and constructive outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits: Work with executive leadership to design competitive salary structures, clear salary bands, and attractive benefits that reward performance and support employee wellbeing.
Department Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of six HR professionals—your core circle of “superstars.” Guide their daily work, manage departmental budgets, and mentor them so that the HR function runs smoothly and effectively.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership or management roles where you have shaped strategy and led teams.
Certifications: Professional HR credentials such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or HRCI (SPHR/PHR) are preferred and will strengthen your candidacy.
Business Acumen: Able to understand organisational strategy and turn it into practical, effective people initiatives that support growth.
Conflict Resolution: Skilled at managing complex employee issues with calm, clarity, and fairness, helping all parties move toward constructive solutions.
Labour Regulations Expertise: Deep knowledge of labour laws and regulations, ensuring HR practices are compliant, ethical, and transparent.
HRIS Proficiency: Comfortable using HR information systems and data to improve decision-making, efficiency, and reporting.
Leadership of Superstars: Able to inspire, develop, and coordinate a high-performing team of six HR professionals, bringing out the best in each “superstar” and aligning their efforts with the organisation’s goals.
